To All Of Our Exhibitors And Dear Friends

It’s my distinct pleasure to invite all exhibitors and dear friends to join us at Wild Air Farms in Zionsville for the 32nd annual Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show and Country Fair – a spectacle that has brought international sports figures and attention to Indiana for thirty-two years.  We are honored that this breathtaking event brings together people who love horses with people who care about Indiana’s most seriously ill and injured children—Riley Hospital for Children supporters.  In addition to being one of the nation’s top centers for pediatric research, Riley Hospital for Children treats more than 200,000 Indiana families, from every county every year.

I want to begin by giving my heartfelt thanks to Penny and Jock Fortune for funding the $30,000 Marty and Russell Fortune, Jr. Memorial Grand Prix that will take place on our beautiful grand prix field on Friday, August 7th at 5:00 pm.

I also want to thank our volunteer committee that works diligently to assure that our 32nd annual horse show is the best ever.  A show of this size takes a tremendous amount of effort and I would like to personally thank are executive director, board members, committee chairman, volunteers, as well as our new horse show manager, Michael Morrissey who will be taking our horse show to new levels.

I want to add a special thanks to Jean Atkins and the Atkins family for organizing, sponsoring, and hosting the exhibitors luncheon which is always a favorite with rour exhibitors.

There are so many highlights during this special week so you’ll want to be sure to make time for these “must-see” events:
Our wonderful Country Fair always enhances our horse show.  We are expanding the number of shopping options this year and hope you will take the time between classes to browse and enjoy the food court.
On Wednesday, August 5th, all Exhibitors are invited to a lovely luncheon buffet at the Exhibitors Tent.  The Garden Party, benefiting the Riley Children’s Foundation, takes place on Thursday, August 6th.  It is one more opportunity to provide support for Riley and its important mission.
Friday the 7th brings all the color and excitement of the $30,000 Marty and Russell Fortune, Jr. Memorial Grand Prix.
Saturday features “Children’s Day” where our youngest guests enjoy festivities that include pony rides, bounce houses, clowns and so much more.
Also on Saturday at 11:30 AM, will be Inaugural Paws for Applause dog Show.
At noon on Saturday, the Grand Prix field hosts the $15,000 National City, Now a part of PNC. Junior/Amateur Classic.
The $60,000 Grand Prix of Indianapolis- Presented by National City, now a part of PNC is held on Sunday the 9th at 1:00 PM.  This outstanding competition features all of the pageantry of world-class horses and riders that has made Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show the premier equestrian event in the Midwest.

Please remember our most important goal is to provide an outstanding experience to all of our exhibitors and friends.  Exhibitors, please feel free to enjoy riding cross-country on the 250 acres of trails around Lake Elizabeth and Indian Lake. And remember, without your continued support, we would not be able to maintain our horse show and continue the important support we provide to Riley Hospital for Children.  If there is anything we can do to improve your stay with us, please let us know.

With best personal wishes,
Chairperson of the Traders Point
Hunt Charity Horse Show
